When I began taking private lessons with Mrs. Voldman, I struggled with reading and counting since I had come from a small local music school. She taught me that in order to play, I had to know the basics of piano and pushed me to practice more. Soon, I learned that not only technique and theory was important, but also musicality and passion too. Mrs. Voldman is an extremely talented musician and pianist with very effective teaching methods. When learning a new piece, she gives a story and emotion behind the song to improve my musicality.
