He brings to the table a very high musical expertise as well as an in-depth knowledge and understanding of violin technique. He has a special talent for correctly diagnosing technical problems in one’s playing and prescribing the right remedies for overcoming them. I have always appreciated his blunt honesty in never saying my performance was good until it actually was. I had my best performances while studying under him and I will forever be grateful for everything he has taught me. I only wish that I had been a wiser, more compliant, more diligent student.
