Cannot say enough about Mrs. Raisa Voldman as a pianist, teacher and a friend! I’ve had a privilege to know her and work with her for the past 13 years at Southeastern Louisiana University, as well as visiting her private teaching studio and seeing her students’ frequent performances. As an incredibly gifted and highly trained concert pianist, she shared her passion for music touching and inspiring the hearts of her students and colleagues. Her pianistic style can be characterized as profoundly expressive, passionate, as well as highly sensitive, being in solo stage performances or collaborating settings. Mrs. Raisa’s vast teaching experience and effective methods have equipped her piano students with musical and technical skills at the level that they are continuously make the Winners lists at all local competitions and festivals. Moreover, so many of her private students were inspired by Mrs. Raisa’s lessons that have decided to pursue a college music degree. I personally know several professional musicians who were Mrs. Raisa’s former private students! Caring personality, immense performing and teaching experience, along with positive, nurturing environment are true marks of Mrs. Raisa’s teaching studio.
